8/31/2006 - Reading Cadillac Desert, by Marc Reisner

This is someone I met on BART on my way home from work. He's reading Cadillac Desert: The American West And Its Disappearing Water, by Marc Reisner.
The New York Times Book Review called it, "A revealing, absorbing, often amusing, and alarming report."
He also had just gotten from the library The Maltese Falcon by Dashiell Hammett and a book of four short stories by Hemmingway. He was on his way to a yoga class in the Mission.
