Reading L'etranger, by Albert Camus. He just got back from France and didn't understand much, so he found himself a French tutor and is reading French literature so that when he goes again he'll have a better time of it.

As for English reading, he recently finished Greg Palast's latest book, Armed Madhouse, with the epic subtitle, Who’s afraid of Osama Wolf? China floats, Bush Sinks; The Scheme to Steal ‘08, No Child’s Behind Left, And Other Dispatches from the Front Lines of the Class War.
