Reading Michael Pollan's The Omnivore's Dilemma. It was on the top ten of most of the lists she consults before choosing a book. The book goes beyond the organic/non-organic issue and discusses the industrial revolution and the best way to cultivate, not only for our bodies, but also for the land. Before this she read The Time Traveler's Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger.
One of her favorite books is Oscar Wilde's A Picture of Dorian Gray--the writing style, surprise ending and how it relates to humanity really sticks in her mind.
