Reading Beth Lisick's Everybody into the Pool. She picked it up because she, like the author, is also from Illinois. She just moved here from there two months ago and is loving her new neighborhood--the Mission. She's convinced that, in a past life, she was from Mexico.
Her favorite book of all time--Great Expectations, by Charles Dickens. Why? Because she's in love with the main character!

This book is hilarious, but only some can appreciate the humor contained within its pages. I especially liked the stories about the corner of 16th and Mission because I take Bart to and from this station each morning and felt like I could relate to them in some sense. I have to say that the stories are from a more gnarly time than now.
