Reading from his own book, The Second Coming of Mavala Shikongo, at the EuroCircle reading. His favorite book of all time is Faulkner's The Sound and the Fury. He says it's like hearing voices in your head and even though it makes no sense it's brilliant.

A couple of good books he's read recently--Cormac McCarthy's The Road
and The Virgin of Flames, which is about Los Angeles, by the Nigerian author, Chris Abani. Mr. Orner noted, ironically, that he's from Chicago, but writes about Namibia.
