Reading The Inheritance of Loss, by Kiran Desai, winner of the Booker Prize (See posts 2/3/2007 and 12/22/2006).

A few good books she's read recently--The Power of Now, by Eckhart, Tolle; The People's History of the United States, by Howard Zinn; Snow, by Orhan Pamuk, winner of the Nobel Prize; The Kite Runner, by Khaled Hosseini; Self-Made Man: One Woman's Journey into Manhood and Back, by Norah Vincent, which she said was excellent, Vincent goes where women can't go, like a men's bowling league and a monestary; and books by local author, Isabelle Allende.

Here's a picture of City Art Gallery at 828 Valencia, where she was watching shop. There's an opening coming up on April 6th. In the back room there'll be an exhibit on San Francisco photographs, which she'll be showing in.
