Reading Why Buildings Stand Up, by Mario Salvador. He's an architect and it's full of useful stuff to know. He avoids fiction, saying that when he reads it, he feels like he's wasting his time--there are so many other things to read. That said, his favorite book of all time is A Confederacy of Dunces, by John Kennedy Toole, which he read about six months ago.
