While waiting for his girlfriend to arrive with packed bento boxes full of lunch, reading The Joy of Mixology, The Consumate Guide to the Bartender's Craft, by Gary Regan. He tended bar in Japan for a while and he's considering becoming a bartender here in San Francisco. The difference between bartending here and there--in Japan they don't leave tips. People in service positions will actually chase you down and give you your money back if you try!
His favorite book? The Grapes of Wrath, by John Steinbeck.
