Reading the 2007 Year Book of the Redwood Day School. Today was her last day of school--she works there as an intern.

The year book is filled with wonderful signatures, with tag lines like "you are grate" and wonderful pictures, like a goggled student adding Mentos to a Diet Coke bottle at a science fair (this may have been from her personal photo collage and not actually published in the book).

Her favorite book of all time--Tikki Tikki Tembo, a children's book by Arlene Mosel. What makes it so good is the rhythm of the words. The title is the name of a boy, whose name is actually Tikki tikki tembo-no sa rembo-chari bari ruchi-pip peri pembo. The book, she admits, is a little racist.

She majored in art in college and loves kids' books.
