Reading Love in the Time of Cholera, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It was loaned to her by a friend and she wants to finish reading it before the movie comes out.

A favorite book--Cryptonomocon, by Neal Stephenson. It's about cryptography, the study of codes. She likes it for the World War II information--at her age, she said, she remembers a considerable amount; and, she likes it because she has fun playing on computers.

Recently she read Kite Runner (another favorite) and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini.
