Reading Reserved for the Cat, by Mercedes Lackey.

Other sci fi fantasy authors she's been reading--Anne McCaffrey and Andre Norton.

Her favorite book--Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen. She likes all the different angles you can appreciate it from--irony, wit, the whole class system. The best part--when Elizabeth shuts down Mr. Darcy.

If she were to write a book? Man, that's hard. ...but she came up with an answer. It'd be a modern day fairytale. She did a minor in anthropology and finds it interesting to look at the original fairytale and compare it to what Disney came up with, and how it was tailored to the time period. For instance, Snow White was more upbeat than in the original because it came out during the depression.
