October 4, Saturday night -- Reading the King Arthur legend

Reading The Death of King Arthur, a French translation from about 1150 AD. His favorite books are ones from the King Arthur legend, especially The Mists of Avalon, by Marion Zimmer Bradley. He's loved the story since he was a kid and saw a cartoon of The Sword and the Stone.

His own book, it'd be historical fiction.

Lately he's been reading John Le Carre.

What translation of the King Arthur legends do you like?

Ok, I don't normally comment here but this is my 2nd today!

I LOVE The Mists of Avalon - I even convinced my book club to read it despite its length. They were quite challenged by it, but agreed it was worth the effort in the end.

Le Morte Darthur by Thomas Malory that is still the best. Second are the Steven Lawhead ones.
