January 12, Monday evening -- Reading Thomas Friedman

Waiting for the Number 14 Bus because there were supposed to be protests at Civic Center BART
Reading From Beirut to Jerusalem, by Thomas L. Friedman. His mom gave it to him about six months ago and he's finally getting around to it.

When he was a kid, his favorite book was The Thief of Always, by Clive Barker; then, when he turned fifteen, it was, and still is, Lonesome Dove, by Larry McMurtry.

I loved Lonesome Dove, to the point that I wouldn't watch the movie. I had it all in my head already. To this day I see some skies and think it is a Lonesome Dove type of sky. I don't even know how I connect the sky to it--can't remember the connection, but I loved the book!
