Reading Bones of the Dragon, by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. He likes fantasy and suspense. His favorites--early Tom Clancy novels.

The books he liked when he was a kid -- none! The book addiction didn't start until later. Before he was twenty, he said, he'd probably read ten books total. Now, his coworker (and wife?) said, he reads all the time -- in the living room, in the kitchen, and, when he arrives at work, the first thing he does is open his book.
