Reading Welcome to Temptation, by Jennifer Crusie, which he's reading because it was recommended by his friend's mother. He said it was really good and tried to explain the plot to me but there were so many twists and turns I couldn't keep it straight. Here's the author's home page: http://www.jennycrusie.com/

Recently he read I Am Not Myself These Days, a memoir by Josh Kilmer-Purcell, which is about drag queen night life. Check out http://www.iamnotmyselfthesedays.com/ for a really trippy picture of a goldfish.

His favorite book of all time was something he read in the third grade about a kid who falls into a cave and is transported into another time by a magical lobster claw. In his time travels he learns about ancient Native American culture. It was so good he's been trying to find it ever since, but he can't remember the title and the author. I have been madly searching online to figure out what the book is, but I can't figure it out either.
