Reading I Say a Little Prayer, by E. Lynn Harris, which is described as "delicious reading," by the Seattle Times and is about a gay gospel singer who is asked to sing at a revival where a fundamentalist preacher intends on bashing gays. The book is about the drama that ensues and tackles many important issues.

Some of her favorite authors are Andrew Greely, Eric Jerome Dickey, Mary Monroe, Tyler Perry, and Steven King--her Steven King collection is good that her girlfriend in Dallas is always trying to convince her to sell it to her.

When I asked her about her favorite books she said Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby and The Godfather, by Mario Puzo.
