Enjoying the afternoon in Northbeach reading Pattern Recognition, by William Gibson. The reader stays in different hotels and there is always a stack of books to take. He feels lucky if he can find New York Times Best Sellers because, he says, while sometimes stupid, they always hold your interest. This book is a mystery and he's got about 30 pages to go and he still doesn't know what's going to happen.

If he had a blog he'd take pictures of vandalized bicycles.
