Reading Tell Me How Long the Train's Been Gone, by James Baldwin, one of her favorite authors. Her favorite Baldwin book is a collection of essays called Notes of a Native Son. She enjoys reading his work because he's a black author and she can relate to what he writes about, how things haven't changed that much since the 1940's.

Her favorite book of all time is Foundation and Empire, by Isaak Asmiov--it's the second book in The Foundation Series. She also likes 1984, by George Orwell.
