At the Revolution Cafe, a couple who reads together. Tonight--A People's History of the United States, 1942 - Present, by Howard Zinn and The Red Tent, by Anita Diamant, which re-tells the story of Dinah, originally told in Genesis, Chapter 34, through the voices of Dinah and other women. This is the second mention of The Red Tent on this blog (see Oct 10).

Their favorite books are The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho; Siddhartha, by Hermann Hesse; and The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint Exupéry, which they read aloud to each other.

Other books they've read recently are Hidden Journey: A Spiritual Awakening, by Andrew Harvey and Hardcore Zen: Punk Rock, Monster Movies, & the Truth about Reality, by Brad Warner.

Here's a pic of The Red Tent. The other photo didn't turn out so well.

Here's an email from Anita Diamant, author of The Red Tent,

For your blog:

It's so much fun to see my book out in the world. Books only have life in the hands of readers, and seeing titles "walking around" is about as cool as it gets for a writer.

Thanks, Sonya
