Reading The Omnivore's Dilemma, A Natural History of Four Meals, by Berkeley journalism professor, Michael Pollan. Months ago, probably sometime last spring, at a friend of a friend's going away party, I met Christopher Cook, a San Francisco journalist and the author of Diet for a Dead Planet, How the Food Industry is Killing us, and he recommended Pollan's book....as well as his own. I have to admit that I haven't gotten around to reading either yet.
Recently this reader has read Mountains Beyond Mountains, by Tracy Kidder and Against All Enemies, Inside America's War on Terror, by Richard Clarke.
