Reading The Principle of Individuation, by Murray Stein at a cafe in the Haight on a sunny Sunday afternoon. He's a social worker and he's reading it to help him with what he deals with on a day-to-day basis. The chapter he's on right now, however, is about numinosity, and is a bit on the esoteric side. In tandem with this he's reading A Path with Heart: A Guide through the Perils and Promises of Spiritual Life, by Jack Kornfield and Kubla Ross's Death and Dying.

One of the best non work-related books he read recently is The Rule of Four, by Ian Caldwell
and Dustin Thomason, which he liked for its unpredictability and depth of character, particularly the development of the father/son relationship which grows in the intellectual pursuit of figuring out the rule of four.

One of his favorite books is The Little Prince, by Antoine Saint-Exupery.
