Reading The Light-Years Beneath My Feet, by Alan Dean Foster. Recently he read False Memories, by Dean Koontz and another couple of books by Alan Dean Foster. What he likes about science fiction is its ability to stretch your imagination--for instance, a futuristic alien culture that, though it has advanced technology, fights its wars with only sticks and stones so they don't destroy each other and the environment. Books, he says, contain anything you can imagine. His favorite science fiction series is the Titan trilogy, by John Varley.
