Reading The Black Sun, by James Twining. He works as a valet at a restaurant in North Beach and, when it's not busy, he reads. He trades books with the other guys who also read when it's slow. This morning he just finished The Testament, by John Grisham, and last week he read Double Eagle, also by Twining.
His favorite book of all time is, La Nuit des Temps, or in English, The Night of Times, by French author, René Barjavel. Here's the Wikipedia synopsis. He's read it ten times and cried every time. He's hoping to find an English translation so he can share it with his friends.
