Reading a very, very heavy book entitled Civil Engineering Reference Manual for the PE Exam, by Michael R. Lindeburg, PE (somehow the book looks smaller in the picture, but in real life it looked enormous). She's taking the exam next month and, when I asked her if she's read any fiction lately she said no, and when I asked her if what her favorite books were, she shook her head wearily and said she couldn't remember ever having read anything fun.

Maybe you should have offered to quiz her. What percent camber is required for optimal drainage on a north-south running chip sealed one lane roadway that sees moderate to heavy rainfall and occasional snow?
