Reading The Rebirth of Nature, Science and God, by Rupert Sheldrake. He read another book by Rupert Sheldrake a while back and this book expands on some of the ideas. He got it at Fields Book Store on Polk Street. The store specializes in "esoteric traditions, east and west." He's been in San Francisco for the past six months and in the outskirts of Toronto where he's from they don't have great independent bookstores like this.

Recently he read Farenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury and Tuesdays with Morrie, by Mitch Albom. Favorite authors--Paulo Coelho (whose name he can properly pronounce thanks to the Brazilians he met while working at a hostel) and Russell Banks, who wrote Rule of the Bone, which is sort of a modern Huckleberry Finn.
