Reading The Zahir, by Paulo Coelho (whose name she pronounces like the sound of a dove). Four months ago she moved to San Francisco from Kiev and reading has helped her in the move. When she is feeling overwhelmed, she finds solace in books. Books, she says, teach us to be patient and open our minds to think in new ways, so that problems do not become bad influences in our lives. She's also been trying to read more in English to improve her language skills.

Her husband mostly reads books about mathematical modeling, finance and science but recently they began reading a biography about Einstein, which talks about his personal life.

Her favorite book right now--The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho.
