November 28, 2007 -- Wednesday evening

Reading Confessions of a Street Addict, by James R. Cramer. He likes the author's radio program and so began reading his investing books. This one talks about his life, though.

Basically, he said, if an author can get me in the first 100 pages of a book, I'll read everything they've published.

Recently he read Malcom Gladwell's Tipping Point and Blink.

Favorite books--Cather in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger; and The Pillars of the Earth, by Ken Follett, which is set in the 1100s and 1200s and is about a family who builds churches. He's a big fan of historical fiction, especially Follett's.
