December 5, 2007 -- Wednesday night

Reading Either/Or, A Fragment of Life, by Soren Kierkegaard. He picked it up because the author was quoted a lot in the book he was reading before this one--The Art of Seduction, by (I think) Robert Greene. Half of Either/Or is written half from the perspective of an old man in an ethical stage of life and half written from the perspective of a young man interested in hedonism.

A book he recommends: No Country for Old Men, by Cormac McCarthy, which, he said, is pure. He read it about six-months ago and just now saw the movie.

His own book--it'd be about all the mistakes in his life and how to avoid them!
