September 1, Monday Afternoon, Labor Day -- Reading John McGinniss

In Golden Gate Park
She's reading Never Enough, by Joe McGinniss that her mother gave her. He's writing a screen play about a guy who's trying to get out of being a lawyer.
(More later, when I find my notes...They had lots of authors to recommend: Ken Follett, Sara Gruen, Judy Blume, Jon Krakauer, Philippa Gregory...)

If you both write and read, how do you strike a balance?

I (as a rule [for the benefit of humanity]) only write one or two sentences at a time. To strike a balance, it takes me a long time to read a book.
