At the 24th and Mission BART Station, having a yard sale
and reading The Husband, by Dean Koontz. He'd tried to read other Dean Koontz's books before, but thought they were gruesome. This one, which he's about half through with, he likes.
His favorite book of all time--which he had in his bag nestled between changes of folded clean clothes--Srimad Bhagavatam, translated by Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. It is a holy book of Hindu.
When he was a child growing up in Columbia, he read every book he could get his hands on. The bigger the better. He loved Gulliver's Travels, by Jonathan Swift. But, his family was poor and it was hard to get books. Now, as an adult, he is missing his left eye, but it doesn't stop him from reading.
When was the last time you sat out in front of your house or wherever, and had a garage sale, read a book?
