March 17, Thursday evening -- Reading Lee Child

At a Korean restaurant in downtown Calgary, Alberta

Reading 61 Hours, by Lee Child.

She's Swiss, but she reads mostly in English. Her favorite author is John Grisham. When she does read in German, she prefers biographies.

How, I had to ask, does the weather in Switzerland compare to Calgary? It's actually, she said, much colder in Calgary. She didn't know how she was going to make it through the first winter.

It was just a quick tirp. I got to see Banf, which I'd heard about since I was kid. It was as beautiful as it was hyped up to be!
