Reading Fish: A Memoir of a Boy in a Man's Prison, by T.J. Parcell. She got it at the radio station that she works at--it's talk radio so they receive a lot of books from publishing companies and she gets to take some home amd, even better, she gets to meet some of the authors.

When Tom Wolff came to the station to talk about I am Charlotte Simmons, he signed her copy of Bonfire of the Vanities. She said he was looking very dapper, dressed all in white.

She collects books (which is why the cover is removed from this one--the value of the book is determined, in part, by the quality of the jacket) and has about five to six hundred at home, some packed away in the garage, most signed by the authors.
