Reading the fourth book in the magna series Fruits Basket, by Natsuki Takaya. This is the second time she's read it, and it's so good she can't even put it down while walking down the street--San Francsicans have good peripheral vision, everywhere I look there are people walking with their eyes fixed to the page.

What she likes about the series are the characters. They're really cute. And nice. Some of her friends even draw pictures of or copy the characters. You practically fall in love with them, she says.

Other favorite books are A Series of Unfortunate Events series, by Lemony Snicket (Daniel Handler); From the Files of Madison Finn series, by Laura Dower; and The Witch Family, by Eleanor Estes.
